Salt Lake City Police Department ask residents to lessen use of 911 line amid surge of wildfires

Salt Lake City (ABC4) – of Salt Lake City Police Department He asked the community to reduce their use of the 9-1-1 emergency line.

According to officials, SLC911 is receiving a number of calls regarding reports of smoke and ash falling on the city.

The SLCPD is currently engulfed in a series of wildfires, causing ash and smoke to appear in the area around the SLC.

Jacob’s City is currently on fire in Tole County, Sardin Canyon is burning in Cash County, and Halfwayway Hill Fire is on fire in Mildred County.

SLCPD 9-1-1 requires you to call only if you see an active fire or emergency.
