Athens Court of Appeals The court on Wednesday ruled that 21 of the 24 defendants in the deadly fire in Matti, East Attica, which killed 103 people in July 2018, should be tried.
Following the appeals of the quorum, the judges sent former Attica governor Rena Dourow to court on criminal charges. The verdict seeks to upgrade the case against five former fire service officers to a more serious case – the risk of death.
