Luxury villas, including former English soccer stars John Terry and Steven Gerrard, were threatened by wildfires across Portugal last night.

Chelsea’s former owner Roman Abramovich has been hit by a fire that engulfed the ንታ 8.5million Pad Algarov at the unique Kunta do Lago resort.

About 70 people were displaced and roads closed.

About 250 firefighters are battling the blaze on the ground and in the air, like a tropical storm in Portugal.

Other resorts at the resort are Declan Donnelly and Elton John.

Bournemouth, who recently grew up in the Premier League, are still in Quanta Do Lago as part of their pre-season preparations.

It was not clear if the fire damaged their program.

The largest of the two fires was around the town of Landras, south of Bordeaux, where roads were closed and 500 residents were displaced.

The second ate up 700 hectares of old pine trees in Pilate’s Dune – Europe’s tallest sand dune.

Nearly 6,000 camps were evacuated overnight.

“I’ve been working here since 1988 and I’ve never seen anything,” said Coriin Harddoin, who manages the Flots Bleus camp site next to Pilates Dun.
