Original story
Firefighters in northern California were battling a new wildfire on Monday at a party in Amador County, where fans were packed for the fourth time in July.
Due to the rapid spread of the fire, about 100 people celebrating the holiday should be taken to the nearby Pacific Gas and Electric Company at the nearby Vox Beach resort, Amador County Sheriff Gary Redman said.
Redman said the men were safe inside the facility Monday night, but were unable to leave due to a fire.

“We can’t get in there. Fire can’t get in there,” Redman told the Associated Press on Monday. “The trees are going down. The whole place is on fire.”
The sheriff’s office said at the end of Monday that about 100 people who had taken refuge at the PG&E facility had been safely evacuated.
The fire in Amador County spread to 959 acres just after 7 a.m. Monday, Cal Fire reported. Hours ago, the fire department said on Twitter that the blaze, which spread over 75 hectares and was “burning at a dangerous rate spread through dry grass.”

The Red Cross has opened two shelters in response to the fire: San Andreas City Hall, 24 Church Hill Road, San Andreas and the Italian Picnic Plant, 581 State Highway 49, Sutter Creek.
East and West Highway 26 from Bukie Lane to Lower Dorey Road was closed due to an electrical fire, Caltrans said Monday night. Drivers will be asked to clear the area. No re-opening is expected at this time.
Redman said the spread of the fire slowed to 10 a.m. Monday.

According to Redman, about 500 other people were injured in the forced evictions. More than 10,000 PG&E customers do not have power in the states of Amador and Calavera.
The cause of the fire is unknown, but it has been reported in the vicinity of Vox Beach.
He said that fireworks or barbecues could be the cause.
