The Precision Fire was discovered just before 5.30pm on Saturday south of Santaquin and has grown from 36 to 76 hectares overnight. But Utah wildfire officials said as of 2 p.m. Sunday the blaze was 80 percent contained and crews were “confident” the blaze would be under control by nightfall.

Other major Utah wildfire updates:
• Jacob’s City Fire; The fire, about a mile east of Stockton, started in 2015. It started on July 9 and had burned about 4,185 acres as of Sunday, which was considered 82 percent contained.
Helicopters began flying firefighters into the area on Sunday as part of a firefighting operation on the fire line outside the area. Officials said the fire started after a generator caught fire. Stockton police arrested a man on Tuesday on charges of criminal negligence in connection with the fire.
• Half way fire The fire south of Fillmore in 2016 The fire, which was first discovered on July 8, is considered 33 percent contained and has burned about 11,733 hectares as of Sunday.
The fire forced evacuations in the Fillmore area earlier this month. Four people who started the fire have been arrested. According to a probable cause statement, the four started a fire at the campsite – where investigators determined the blaze started – and then it “went out.”
When the camper was contacted by investigators, they said they attempted to put out the fire before evacuating the area. They told police that after seeing the fire break out and spread quickly, they were “concerned that it might be the cause of the fire.” But they did not find any fire or police personnel, police said.
More than 500 personnel responded to the fire. The hold until Sunday is estimated on July 24.
