Triple-digit temperatures and high temperatures made the wildfire’s threat difficult for first responders. “Well, the current situation is getting worse,” Douglas Duncan said. “And with no moisture in the forecast, it’s just going to continue, and these fields are going to get drier and drier.” The fire has burned thousands of hectares.

Governor Kevin Stitt has called on the Oklahoma National Guard to help fight the blaze and provide relief to first responders. But National Guard members aren’t the only ones on the rise.
Pottawatomie County employees are lending their support in Blaine County as well.
Firefighters said they think sunlight hitting the bottle may have started the fire.
With triple digit temperatures and intense heat, the conditions are not making the wildfire threat any easier for first responders.
“Well, the current situation is getting worse,” Douglas Duncan said. “And if there is no moisture in the tower, it will continue, and these fields will become drier and drier.”
The fire has burned thousands of hectares.
