Smoke Billows as Wildfire Burns in Southern Spain


More than 3,000 people were evacuated from their homes in Malaga, Spain on July 15 after wildfires broke out in the Sierra de Mijas mountains. . “It’s worse than hell,” Garcia wrote in a caption accompanying the post. Spanish news outlet El Pace reported that the fire broke out on Friday and forced thousands of people to evacuate parts of Malaga until Saturday. The fire has covered 1,890 hectares, the Andalusian Forest Fire Service said on Saturday. The high temperature and low humidity in the area made firefighting more difficult, the agency said.
