A massive fire in Nevada County in Northern California has led to evacuations near Birchville. Since it began around 2 p.m. on Tuesday, about 520 acres have burned by 6:30 p.m. It was reported near Rices Crossing and Cranston Roads and is believed to have originated from a fire in the structure that spread into the vegetation.
