Wildfire in Yosemite National Park Imperils Sequoia Trees – RVBusiness

The fire, with wood and brushes, is active in Maripoza Grove, the largest and most famous of Sekoya’s three largest collections in the park. The shrub is some of the tallest trees in the world, including the Tree It is called the Grisley Giant. More than 200 feet tall.

Nancy Filipe, a spokeswoman for Yosemite Fire, said zero percent of the fire had been contained and no damage had been done to Sekoya trees.
