The Khabarovsk governor called for a federal state of emergency over wildfires

KHABAROVSK July 12 (Interfax) – Kabarovsk state authorities are demanding that the Federal Forest Development Agency (Rosleskhoz) declare a state of emergency in Kabarovsk region due to wildfires in the north.

“The situation of wildfires is complicated in Kabarovsk region. Climateists do not expect any climate change that could make things easier. So it was decided to ask Roselskoz to declare a federal state of emergency in the region,” Kabarovsk governor Michael Degtyaryov said in a telegram on Tuesday.

A.D. On July 7, Degtyarev declared a state of emergency in the Khabarovsk region due to wildfires.
